Reading is fun...
Since my last "bookreport" I've read a few books, Revenge of the Sith, Deception Point, Animal Farm, and I, Robot. All good books and I especially liked Animal Farm. Though it's not that present anymore with the Soviet Union gone, it still is a very nice story.
Now I've picked up Aldous Huxley's "Island" hoping it will live up to the acclaim it has gotten. So far it is quite intriguing.
I've played only one round of golf since my last blog, scoring only 27 points. I thought it would be a beautiful round after three holes, having scored 7 points even though I didn't start well, wasting a couple of shots on the first hole. But then, my putter just went on a rampage and destroyed my game completely and I scored only 2 points on the next three holes. That of course, destroyed my joyous moment of being on top of my game and I newer really recovered. But next time, I have to play to my handicap :(

Went to at boardmeeting in Sulsted that lasted almost 4 hours. I don't know why our meeting keep runing this long. It's not like we have multi-billion dollar deals to discuss.
Sulsted IF had their 75th anniversary September 9th, thowing a splendid party attended by a little less than 200 people.
On Friday I played a round of golf at Rold Skov Golfclub with the company I work at, KMD. It was a fun experience, unfortunately I had a strained back injury that forced me to forfeit after only half the round, scoring only 15 points, but other than that it was great fun being out with people from work in a new environment.
On Saturday I had a friend over, watching a couple of movies. Later at the evening we visited another of our friends, to not watch movies all day. Relaxing, doing nothing, what a nice and calm weekend :)

Well, it's about time to write a new blog, as it's been a few days since my last blog.
Well, it's about time to write a new blog, as it's been a few days since my last blog.
I've played three rounds of golf, two of which was on the new course (nine new holes) scoring 32 points the first two times and only 28 points on the last round... I hate the new nine holes, scoring 13 points the first time and only 10 points the second time. That's simply not good enough :(
I started playing squash again on monday, playing Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Playing football on Thursday and Saturday and golf on Friday, I had a pretty busy week, but it was good to get a little exercise.

Has it already been another month? Time flies.
Has it already been another month? Time flies.
I've only played golf once since my last post, yesterday I got 36 points (par). I feel pretty good about that, as it's been a while, and I felt a little (a lot) rusty.
The Football World Cup is finished and the right team won (Italy). Only problem in the tournament was that France got as far as they did (runners-up). The aftermath was no less than horrific, Zidane got the golden ball and a red card (in the final game) for headbutting Materazzi in the chest. Fifa later decided to let Zidane keep the award, but they did give him 3 days suspension... 3 days, are you kidding me? De Rossi got 4 days for an elbow in an "in-match"-situation, at least give Zidane that much. And take away the award. Is he really the player you want kids to look up to and remember from that tournament? And on top of that, he didn't even play great in the tournament for more that one or two matches, but then again that's not Fifa's decision (giving him the award in the first place) but sportswriters from apparently a lot of papers who didn't like Italy and penalised them for how Italy sometimes plays and for the scandals going on in Italian football at the time.
Despite my troubled looks on football I've startet training again after the summer holiday. That was a bit tougher than expected. I'd been running a couple of times in the weeks leading up to it but the first training was actually harder than I had expected. Maybe because a lot of players from the team that I normally play for didn't show and we trained with our A-team (Jyllandsserien). But it was nice to get going even though my legs felt a little sore on Friday ;)
On another golf-note, I played minigolf (damn thats different from real golf. The putter is off balance and the balls (golfballs) weigh a ton) and lost. After dinner at Casa Fiesta we went to Café Klostertorvet for a couple of drinks and luckily I got a bit of a resurrection, beating the guys (Jesper and Torsten) in a game of Trivial Pursuit.

Golf is getting to be my favorite pasttime. Again on Wednesday and Sunday, we (Allan and I) played a few rounds.
After getting to handicap-35 Allan haven't had much luck playing to par. Safe to say, he hasn't been satisfied with his game the last couple of runds we've played. Though he played a round like Tiger on June 15th where he scored 48 stableford-points earning an 11 point-adjustment from 46 to 35. This proved too big a jump and he "only" scored 20 points on the following round, scratching 7 holes and only scoring 6 points on the first 9 holes. It went a little better on Sunday where he scored 29 points.
I scored 35 points both on the 15th and the 21st playing forgetable rounds both times. Only hole 18 on the 21st was memorable. Playing a 200+ meter drive landing me about 250 meters from the hole. I misread the distance slightly and tried to get over the lake with a 5-wood, having my own private tin cup moment, when the ball didn't clear the lake and splashed down a few meters short of the shore. I wasn't stupid enough to try again, but it made the hole memorable.
On Sunday I played my best round yet, scoring 49 points going to handicap 29½. Again I had a good drive on hole 18, but remembering the last time I played the hole, I chose not to push it, and played is safely short of the lake, playing it safe earning me the last three points of the day, making my total score, the previously named 49 points.
Handicap 29½ means only 34 extra strokes, so I have to start paying attention if I want to make more that 10 points next time out.
